GIDE 2.1.0 does two things. It introduces subscription tiers, with your access decided by your live subscription. And it makes the agent’s work easier to follow, with the Command Gate inline in chat and a cleaner Thinking block.

At a glance

  • Subscription tiers. Individual, Pro (including Small Business) and Enterprise.
  • Plan and tier in the app. Shown in the status bar and profile dialog.
  • Usage portal. Your token usage in the app and on the website.
  • Command Gate in chat. Command approval appears inline, beside the agent’s work.
  • Collapsible Thinking block. With an accurate live timer.

Subscription tiers

What changed

Three capability tiers now power GIDE:

  • Individual covers the Basic (Monthly) and Premium (Yearly) plans.
  • Pro covers the Pro and Small Business plans. Small Business, Business and Team plans are recognized and mapped to Pro, giving teams the full Pro feature set under one shared plan.
  • Enterprise is the top tier.

Higher tiers automatically include everything below them. Plans have since been renamed Developer, Business and Enterprise.

Feature access by tier

Features can now be unlocked by tier. GIDE Wiki is available on Pro and Enterprise, and Cloud Support is reserved for Enterprise. Free, trial and Early Access users get full access to everything during their access period.

Your plan, visible in the app

Your current plan and tier are shown in the status bar and the profile dialog, so you always know which features you have.

Server-side subscriptions

Your tier is now determined by your live subscription on the server. Access updates automatically, and it’s correctly revoked when you log out or when a subscription expires. Session expiry also follows your actual subscription end date instead of a fixed 7-day timer, so you aren’t logged out early.

Usage portal

A new usage portal shows your token usage in the app and on the website, with a real-time view across all your sessions.

Command Gate in chat

The command approval added in 2.0.0 now appears inline in the chat transcript, beside the agent’s work. It shows the exact command, so you can review it before it runs.

A clearer Thinking block

The agent’s reasoning now shows in a collapsible Thinking block with an accurate live timer. Thoughts are finalized before tool calls begin, so reasoning is no longer split up or mixed in with actions.

Status labels change with what the agent is doing, command chips are labelled accurately, and duplicate chips are gone.

Fixes

  • Chat stability. Fixed a chat crash, made session restore reliable, and hardened how transcripts are saved, so messages with no visible content no longer break the conversation.
  • Themes. Theme overrides and text colours now render consistently across the chat view.

For the short version of every change, see the GIDE changelog.
